About Supported to Stay
Supported to Stay exists to help healthcare professionals remain resilient, stay connected to their purpose, and continue doing the work they feel called to do.
Born from firsthand experience in oncology care and grounded in evidence-based practice, our mission is simple:
To ensure that healthcare professionals receive the support, recognition, and practical tools they need to thrive—not just survive—in the work they do every day.
Supporting the people who care for everyone else.
Why We Exist
Healthcare professionals enter this work because they care deeply about people.
They show up every day with compassion, expertise, and commitment, often carrying responsibilities and emotional burdens that few people truly understand.
Yet too often, the people providing care are the ones least likely to receive the support they need themselves.
Supported to Stay was created to change that.
We believe healthcare professionals deserve more than reminders to practice self-care. They deserve meaningful support, practical tools, genuine connection, and spaces where they can feel seen, valued, and strengthened.
Because while healthcare professionals are called to care, they also deserve to be supported to stay.
Meet Leigh
Founder of Supported to Stay
As an Oncology Nurse Practitioner with a decade of experience in oncology, Leigh understands firsthand the impact this work can have on the people who provide healthcare.
Alongside the privilege of walking with patients and families through some of life's most meaningful moments comes the reality of grief, loss, and stress, as well as the ongoing challenge of showing up with compassion and strength.
Supported to Stay was born from that understanding.
What began as her doctoral project focused on supporting oncology nurses has grown into a broader mission to help healthcare professionals build resilience, strengthen connections, and sustain meaningful careers.
Leigh's principle is simple:
When people are called to care, they must be supported to stay.
From Indiana to a Growing National Mission
Supported to Stay began in Indiana through the creation of RESET, an evidence-based seminar designed to support healthcare professionals facing the unique emotional demands of care.
Today, that mission continues to grow through partnerships, education, and programs designed to bring meaningful support to healthcare professionals and organizations across the country.
Because every healthcare professional deserves the support they need to stay.
